Includes more customisation, web-style news feed, and video uploads for iPhone 3GS.
Facebook has announced that it's submitted version 3.0 of its official iPhone application to Apple for approval, meaning it should be available on the App Store within a week or two.
Developer Joe Hewitt announced the news on Twitter (and presumably as a Facebook status update too), with more details and screenshots due to be published this week on the app's official Facebook page.
New features include a News Feed that's more like the one on the main Facebook website, as well as the inclusion of events and fan Pages. The home screen will also be more customisable.
Beefed-up UGC features are also a factor, including the ability to create new photo albums and upload photos to any album, rather than the default Mobile Uploads used by version 2.0 of the app.
Meanwhile, iPhone 3GS owners will be able to upload video clips direct from their device to Facebook using the 3.0 app too.
