Nokia offers more free content as part of its mapping and navigation solution
Nokia has added Expedia, TimeOut and Qype as free service providers on Ovi Maps, adding to the existing free content available from Michelin and Lonely Planet.
The Expedia element allows users to geo-search for hotels and make reservations. Rooms can searched by price or rating, with a full description, images and directions provided.
TimeOut, meanwhile, offers recommendations for London, New York, Chicago, Lisbon, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Sydney. The info covers film, music, stage, nightlife and art, supported by reviews and recommendations.
Finally, Qype offers location based peer-to-peer favourites and ratings on bars, shopping, transportation, and other services from radio stations to chemists. The information is supported by Qype’s online community.
Nokia says Ovi Maps has been downloaded 11 million times since its launch in February.
