Will oversee mobile gaming, but also console, PC and social activities.
Former Glu Mobile CEO Greg Ballard is back in the mobile games industry, with a new role as SVP of digital games at Warner Bros.
However, while Ballard's role includes overseeing the studio's mobile gaming efforts, it also encompasses console, PC, handheld and social games.
He will report to Thomas Gewecke, president of Warner Bros. Digital Distribution, and Martin Tremblay, president of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.
His new job comes only months after he joined mobile video advertising firm Transpera as its CEO in June.
His Warner Bros role will give him a second crack at the smartphone gaming market. Glu was famously cautious in the early days of iPhone's App Store, and fell behind its former rivals EA and Gameloft.
