New Red Bee Media platform will serve live streaming video from over 40 channels.
The resultant service will allow tablet users to access and view the service for the first time and integrate with wi-fi. It could also support 3D, when it becomes available for mobile devices.
Everything Everywhere believes the revamp will provides increase its Orange and T-Mobile UK TV subscriber base by six times in the next three years.
This is a vote of confidence in the mobile TV area, which has enjoyed mixed fortunes since the industry went gaga over it in the late noughties.
Back then, there was much hype around broadcast mobile TV, but that has all but died in developed markets in favour of streamed content.
However, the latter has also changed shape as stand alone providers like Sky and BBC have taken their services direct to consumers via their own apps.

That has to some extent sidelined the aggregated operator offerings. However, with this announcement Everything Everywhere has revealed its faith in such services.
Paul Jevons, director of products at Everything Everywhere, said: “The new delivery platform is just the start, and we have several significant developments planned for our service over the next 12 months which will really transform the way consumers view mobile TV."
The Red Bee Media RedPlayer platform will support the ingestion, preparation, storage and transcoding of Everything Everywhere’s programming content for all devices.
Channels on offer include ITV1, ITV2, Eurosport, ITN News, Sky News, Sky Sports 1, CNN and National Geographic.
