Looking beyond the iPhone.
London's Evening Standard newspaper has launched its first mobile app, and unlike many of its media rivals, isn't just focusing on iPhone.
The paper has teamed up with Handmark to release its app for iPhone, Android, BlackBerry, Windows Mobile and Nokia Series 60 smartphones.
The application is free, and offers a mixture of news and lifestyle features, with the latter including fashion, health and beauty, and film and music reviews.
Readers can save articles to read later, or share them via email, Twitter and Facebook.
"We are excited to introduce our new mobile application so our readers can now enjoy the convenience of having instant access to our trusted news and information on the go," says the paper's general manager of digital Tim Smith.
