Mobile TV enabler Gorillabox is to power an ethnic TV offering for France's my4n.TV.
The service is due to launch next month and will comprise channels including BBC, CNN, Al Jazeera, Antena 3 and others. The service will be targeted at foreign communities and those eager for foreign news : expatriates, immigrants, international students, international executives. First deployment will be in France in December, with rollouts in other European countries to follow soon after.Gorillabox will manage everything from ingesting and encoding the content to streaming it across Europe. “We are delighted to be working with my4n.TV on this exciting service. It is breaking new ground in the process of capturing mobile TV feeds from satellite and streaming them over 3G networks,” said Christian Harris, founder and CEO of Gorillabox.
