Men's magazine Esquire has launched its January issue as an iPhone app (App Store link) - with plans to make every future issue available through the App Store too.

The mag, which is published by US company Hearst, has been redesigned for iPhone using the Iceberg Reader technology from e-books firm ScrollMotion.

It includes extra content including photos, videos and additional stories, as well as a store to buy Esquire-branded books and special editions.

Meanwhile, sharing features allow users to email articles, quotes, photos and jokes to their friends, or post them on Facebook.

The app costs $2.99 in the US, and £1.79 here in the UK. "This is just the start," promises its App Store blurb, hinting at more features to come.
