Elite gets another round with Paperboy

Veteran UK games developer Elite has re-signed veteran games classic Paperboy to 2010.

The codeshop is now planning new mobile products around the title as the Midway game approaches its 25th anniversary in 2009. Already in development and scheduled for a spring 2008 release is a brand new game, incorporating the familiar characters and game play dynamics of the arcade title - first seen in 1984.

Furthermore, Elite has begun a search for partners to create other Paperboy mobile products. Elite’s founder Steve Wilcox said “Classic versions of the arcade title have been enjoyed by millions of players in the arcades, on consoles and PCs and most recently, courtesy of Elite, on mobile phones. We genuinely hope and believe that the new Paperboy mobile products will be enjoyed by millions more.”

Developers and publishers wishing to partner Elite should mail steve.wilcox@elite-systems.co.uk.
