Discovery Channel will deliver wildlife video ringtones via the video sharing service Vringo.
The deal means that mobile consumers can get those clips of volcanoes, bees, skyrockets and more they’ve longed for. There are 20 videos available overall, and Vringo subscribers are free to personalise them as video ringtones, or ‘vringos’.Subscribers to the Vringo service use their buddy lists to deliver two to ten second clips to the person being called – or to identify an incoming caller.
Jon Medved, Vringo’s CEO, said: “From sunset scenes to raging elephants and brewing storms, there’s something for everyone – and it’s all free.”
