The England and Wales Cricket Board has announced a major revamp for its ECB Cricket app ahead of this month's first Ashes test in Australia.
The iPhone version was released in May last year, and has since been downloaded nearly 250,000 times, according to the ECB.
"We had a fantastic response from the public to the launch of our dedicated iPhone application last year and the challenge now is to target yet more cricket followers with the most up-to-date and comprehensive service available," says director of marketing and communications Steve Elworthy.
The new app will offer scores, videos and news, as well as the ability for users to personalise it with their favourite county team. Push notifications and social networking have also been added.
An Android version of the app is also being launched, as well as a mobile website. The ECB recently launched its app for Nokia phones too. UK agency The Other Media is responsible.
