27.4 million downloads and counting for the instant messaging tool
App store provider GetJar has revealed its top five most downloaded apps, with social networking dominating the landscape.
eBuddy is in first place, followed by the Opera Mini browser, Nimbuzz VoIP/IM client, Mig33 IM/social networking client and Facebook's official mobile app.
Lifetime downloads of each from GetJar (which only offer free apps) are as follows:
1. eBuddy - 27.4 million
2. Opera Mini - 25.3 million
3. Nimbuzz - 21.6 million
4. Mig33 - 15.4 million
5. Facebook - 14.4 million
Separately, GetJar says its monthly downloads hit 55 million in October, up 267 per cent from 15 million in October 2008.
