Banners, splash screens, links and rich media to appear in instant messaging apps.
Instant messaging firm eBuddy has signed UK mobile advertising agency 4th Screen up to provide ads in its mobile apps and mobile site.
The company has eight million users of its services, which aggregate popular IM platforms like Facebook, Google Talk, Windows Live Messenger and Yahoo Messenger.
4th Screen will be providing a mixture of ad formats to run in eBuddy's three apps (Java, Android and iPhone) as well as its eBuddy Lite Messenger mobile web service.
The formats include banners and splash screens, but also integrated links and rich media ads.
"Our partnership with eBuddy supports 4th Screen Advertising's ever-expanding reach in the social media arena, and provides the perfect channel for brands to maximise awareness among a notoriously hard to reach youth audience, via a targeted range of mobile advertising options," says account director Miguel Tatay.
