Campaign push to build on the 1,000+ interactive firms.
The Tech City Map invites companies in the area to get interactive with each other in order to further development to the area. It currently pulls data and information from 1,097 firms and has counted over 1.5 million related tweets.
The location, which surrounds the Olympic Park, has bloomed over the past two years with support from prime minister David Cameron, who pledged the investment of £200 million. Tech City plays home to large, medium and small technology and mobile firms including the likes of Google, Vodafone, Intel and Barclays.
Now, a new expansion project will focus on upcoming hotspots, which will enable the government to determine where will benefit most from the support. It will give early warning of new technology trends and give entrepreneurs the chance to expand their networks.
Charles Armstrong, founder of the Tech City Map and CEO of Trampoline Systems, said: "East London has established itself as the UK's densest and fastest-growing cluster of technology start-ups. However East London is just a part of the picture.
"There are also well-developed clusters in places such as Cambridge, the Glasgow-Edinburgh corridor and Bristol. And beyond these identified clusters there are exciting innovations and enterprises springing up in every corner of the UK."

Cameron says: "The Tech City Map, which underlines the fantastic level of creativity and innovation that is taking place in the area, is a great showcase for East London's start-up community.
"It's also a demonstration of how small; innovative businesses can collaborate with leading corporations. It's fitting that the Tech City Map is 100% home-grown in East London with its creators Trampoline and Playgen both based in Shoreditch."
