Something better than the current Android Market, anyway.
Games publisher Electronic Arts' CFO says the publisher is keen to see better retail channels for apps and games on Android.
"I think there's a lot to happen in the future in Android, and we’re trying to position our mobile business to take advantage of that trend," Eric Brown told a Deutsche Bank technology conference.
"I think the next big positive wave to push better growth in mobile will be the deployment of an App Store equivalent for the Android operating system."
It sounds like a strange statement to make, since Android already has an App Store equivalent: Google's own Android Market.
However, Brown was more likely meaning a store as good as iPhone's App Store - indicating that EA thinks there's room for improvement in Google's store.
ME noted last year that EA's support for Android Market had been somewhat lukewarm.
