EA to sell smartphone games through Handango

EA Mobile has confirmed a distribution deal with the smartphone app seller Handango.

The giant publisher will make available Madden NFL 08, The Sims 2, The Sims Bowling, Tetris, Bejeweled and others in their Windows Mobile, BlackBerry and Symbian SKUs through Handango's web properties and its on-device client,
InHand.

Bill Stone, CEO of Handango, said: "Our customers are downloading entertainment content more than any other category offering, making it clear to us we need to satisfy this growing demand, and that's why we're working with top content providers like EA Mobile.”

Earlier this year, Handango announced a deal with phone retailer The Carphone Warehouse to bring content directly to consumers at the point of sale.
