EA puts Mass Effect onto iPhone

New title bridges events between first and second console game arrives.

EA has released one of the highest profile console crossovers on Apple’s iPhone and iPod Tough to date – colourful sci-fi outing Mass Effect Galaxy.

The headline inclusions for fans of the franchise are a narrative that spans the events of the popular first console outing and the story told in the upcoming console and PC sequel due out next year.

The gameplay itself is fairly hands-off, with much of the action taking care of itself leaving the player to move their character, select enemies to target and to cycle between available weapons.

Much of the title comprises cut scenes and dialogue intended to expand on the game’s universe and lore.

Mass Effect Galaxy is available now for £2.99.
