Q2 sales rise to $51 million; now on target for $200 million mark for FY10.
The figures consolidate EA's spot at the top of the mobile games tree, and reflect how well the company has managed the transition to app stores while preserving its place as the premier operator WAP store player.
The Q2 revenue accounts for five per cent of EA's total, and is a two per cent increase on mobile's Q1 sales.
Of course, EA has a rich treasure chest of games IP including FIFA, The Sims and Tetris – and it added to this in the last quarter with Command & Conquer Red Alert Mobile, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and others.
It also ramped up its iPhone output and announced plans for a special unit dedicated to making games for the Apple device.
