EA Mobile's 1Q08 revenues remained flat YoY at $33 million.
The revenue figure for the three months ending June 30th is in fact down on 4Q07, which came in at $36 million. However, mobile operations now account for eight per cent of EA's total revenue ($395 million), compared to six per cent in 4Q07.
Speaking to analysts, EA Mobile CEO Frank Gibeau attributed the flat Q1 performance to slack handset sales in the US market (particularly among Moto devices), from where the division continues to draw the majority of its revenues. He also stressed that its European operations continue to exceed expectations.
EA Mobile released five games in Q1, but will increase that number to eight in Q2 and 11 in Q4.
