EA Mobile and Glu post Q2 financials

Electronic Arts and Glu Mobile have revealed their mobile games revenues for Q2 2009.

EA's mobile division generated $50 million of revenues during the quarter, up 14% year-on-year.

More impressively, EA's wireless revenues outstripped its sales on both Sony PSP ($38 million) and Nintendo DS ($28 million) during the quarter.

Meanwhile, Glu Mobile reported revenues of $19.9 million for Q2, down 16% year-on-year.

The company cut its net loss for the quarter to $1.5 million, down from $6.6 million in Q2 2008. However, Glu says it achieved positive cash flow from operations during the quarter for the first time.

CEO Greg Ballard recently revealed he's stepping down, although he's staying in position until Glu finds a replacement.
