Zuma's Revenge on its way to J2ME and BREW handsets this August.
EA Mobile has announced a global distribution deal for the mobile version of PopCap Games' Zuma's Revenge!.
The game will be released this August, and is the second PopCap title to be distributed by EA for mobile handsets, following Bejeweled.
The deal covers J2ME and BREW handsets only, leaving the rights for iPhone and other smartphones in PopCap's hands. A similar split applies to the Bejeweled franchise.
"The mobile phone is an excellent platform for Zuma’s Revenge!," says PopCap's director of business development for mobile Andrew Stein.
"Given our successful and continuing collaboration on Bejeweled, we are very pleased to be expanding our working relationship with EA Mobile."

PopCap has been successful on iPhone with games like Peggle and Plants Vs. Zombies, but it will benefit from EA's clout in the mobile operator world.
