Developer embarks on expansion drive with new offices and increased headcount
Dundee-based Dynamo Games has reoriented its business to focus on the online social gaming and smartphone segments.
To support the new strategy the company has just moved in to new offices and has increased its development team by 60 per cent, with further additions expected in the coming months.
Dynamo has made its name with high profile mobile titles, including Championship Manager, Countdown and The Crystal Maze and in the last year has extended its tendrils into the PSP, iPhone and Android space.
The company is currently gearing up for the release of its first social game, Soccer Tycoon.
Brian McNicoll, Dynamo’s Managing Director, said: “The games market is undergoing an incredible transformation which is changing every aspect of the business. New devices and platforms are creating and opening up markets which simply didn’t exist a few years ago.

"Developers cannot afford to ignore these new channels since the business models underpinning the ‘mainstream’ games industry simply do not work. Dynamo has repositioned itself to take advantage of these new opportunities and ensure we remain at the forefront of the games industry as it continues to evolve. It’s about being smarter, not larger.”
