And Stephen Fry signed up to present the GSMA's awards.

The Congress Party & Awards Celebration at February's Mobile World Congress show just got a lot hotter. Well, for people of a certain age.

Duran Duran have been announced as the headliner for the GSMA's Barcelona shindig, with keyboardist Nick Rhodes to be interviewed during the separate Mobile Entertainment keynote session at the conference.

Meanwhile, Stephen Fry has been announced as the host for the GSMA's awards on the same day - they'll take place during the afternoon of Tuesday 16th February, with the party following in the evening.

All conference attendees will be able to go to the awards element, although party tickets will be sold seperately. Handset firm INQ has been announced as the sponsor for the evening's entertainment.

So, a famous name, sometimes accused of having seen better days, previously associated with yachts and dodgy fashion sense. But as for Duran Duran...
