Draw Something and Words With Friends head to Lumia and WinPho

But Nokia users will get priority, with exclusive access for the first two months.

Zynga's Draw Something and Words With Friends games are only available to Android and iOS users at present, but the social gaming firm has announced a launch for Nokia Lumias and Windows Phone-powered devices.

The roll out will take place this autumn, but the games will only be exclusively available to Nokia Lumia users via 'Nokia Collection' for the first two months, with Windows Phone Marketplace to follow.

The move comes after reports that Draw Something is falling in popularity, while Microsoft unveiled the new Windows Phone 8 OS last night, something Zynga seems to have taken a liking to.

Bryan Biniak, VP, global partnering & app development, Nokia, said: "The Windows Phone Metro UI will deliver an outstanding user experience to consumers, adding more great gaming titles to our rapidly growing portfolio from leading publishers."

David Ko, chief mobile officer, Zynga, said: "We constantly strive to listen to our players who help us focus on the platforms where they want to play.  By partnering with top global brands such as Nokia and Windows Phone, we are able to reach more players with our franchise games."
