DoCoMo snubbed by Apple over iPhone deal?

Japanese market leader says Apple 'didn't call it back' about iPhone agreement.

It looks like giant Japan's market-leading mobile operator DoCoMo has been snubbed by Apple, which this morning inked a deal with rival network Softbank to offer iPhone in the country.

Both operators were thought to be involved in initial negotiations, but when asked by Reuters, DoCoMo spokesman Shuichiro Ichikoshi said the company 'had not heard back from Apple after talks'.

It could well be that DoCoMo was unimpressed by what Apple was after in terms of revenue share considering it is after all the father of the mobile internet.
