Distimo's latest mobile apps report provides more information on who's making Android applications, and how their pricing varies between regions, and compares to other smartphones.
The report claims that 65% of Android developers are in the US, with 20% in Europe, 12% in the UK, and 3% in Japan.
Distimo has also identified differences in the average price of Android apps published in those regions. Europeans are paying $4.42, while it's $3.31 in the UK, $2.96 in the US and $2.28 in Japan.
The report also compared average application prices globally for the big app stores. Android was the lowest with $3.27, although Nokia's Ovi Store ($3.47) and iPhone's App Store ($3.62) weren't much higher.
However, on Windows Marketplace for Mobile and BlackBerry App World, it's a different story. The average price for a WinMo app is $6.99 according to Distimo's research, while for BlackBerry it's $8.26.
