DM009SH smartphone is the first to get access.

Disney has published full details about its upcoming DM009SH smartphone, which is due to be released in Japan this February.

The handset is a rebranded version of Sharp's Android-based Galapagos 003SH, whose big selling point is its 3D-capable 3.8-inch display, along with a 9.6-megapixel camera, built-in TV tuner and 1GHz processor.

However, the big news from ME's perspective is that the handset will be the first to access the Disney Market app store, for users to download more apps and content for the device.

The DM009SH will also come preloaded with a host of Disney content, while every user will get their own @disney.ne.jp email address. As yet, no plans have been announced to launch Disney Market outside Japan.
