Series D round brings DChoc total financing to $43m since 2003.
The company, founded by games veteran Trip Hawkins, was waving the flag for social mass gaming way back in the dark days of Java and walled gardenes.
Its blossoming now, with 100 titles and 12.2m monthly players of its top game, Millionaire City.
DChoc intends to use the financing for further expansion even though it already has offices in San Mateo, Helsinki, Barcelona, Bangalore, and Mexico.
"The investment from Intel Capital supports our vision of publishing leading social games across different devices and platforms," said Hawkins.
"The strength of our team, combined with the strategic insight and support from Intel Capital and existing investors, will help extend our leadership in the evolving social gaming market."
