Digital Chocolate hails 4m Ovi Store downloads

And kicks off free mobile games promotion to celebrate.

Digital Chocolate has announced that its games have been downloaded more than four million times from Nokia's Ovi Store.

That's downloads as opposed to sales: the total includes free and paid games alike. Still, it's the biggest games milestone on Ovi Store yet, so good news for Nokia.

The two companies are running a promotion during April and May which should boost the number further, too.

Ovi Store users in 24 European countries will be able to download five of DChoc's premium games for free during the two months, including Tower Bloxx: New York, Rollercoaster Rush Revolution 99 Tracks and Dictator Defense.

The publisher is also creating web versions of some of the games, with Ovi branding and links to download them from Nokia's store.
