Techcrunch reports on the Dictionary.com BlackBerry app, which offers up spellings for 500,000 words, definitions and synonyms.
The free app also offers audio pronunciations, spelling suggestions and a 'Word of the Day'.
The BlackBerry version differs slightly from the the company's iPhone app (which has been downloaded 3 million times to date) in that users can access its features while writing an email and send word definitions to others using SMS.
Dictionary.com has released an API too so that developers can plug similar functionality into their own apps.
