DeviceAnywhere ramps Android support

Developers now have remote access to DROID, HTC Dream and more

DeviceAnywhere has added an Android device package to its Test Center platform.

This means the company's developer community can now remotely access a regularly updated library of commercial and pre-commercial Android devices.

DeviceAnywhere says it has worked in collaboration with several of its partners across carriers and device manufacturers to launch the Android package, which comprises:

- DROID by Motorola on Verizon Wireless
- DROID ERIS by HTC on Verizon Wireless
- T-Mobile G1 with Google
- HTC Dream on Orange
- HTC Dream on Telefónica
- Motorola CLIQ (MB200) on T-Mobile
- HTC Hero with Google on Sprint
- Samsung Moment with Google (M900) on Sprint

DeviceAnywhere says it will be offering support for the HTC Magic on Vodafone and T-Mobile myTouch 3G.

In support of the Android mobile platform, DeviceAnywhere says it is offering the package at a fraction of the cost of a standard package to qualifying developers.

Faraz Syed, CEO of DeviceAnywhere.  “We aim to fully support this new platform and the community behind it by offering an easier and more cost-effective solution to break through the fragmentation barrier and bring new content and services to the Android platform."
