DeviceAnywhere opens Symbian virtual developer lab

Symbian Foundation members will have remote access to a range of handsets

DeviceAnywhere has partnered with the Symbian Foundation to launch a Symbian Virtual Developer Lab (VDL).

Symbian Foundation members will have remote access to a range of Symbian handsets, including the 5800 XpressMusic and the N97, with additional devices being added as the project develops.

Developers using the Symbian VDL will be able to remotely perform real-world testing scenarios, including pressing buttons remotely, listening to ringtones and sounds, playing videos, accessing the internet and viewing LCD displays.

DeviceAnywhere will be giving every member of the Symbian Foundation five free hours of access to the Symbian VDL in addition to complimentary DeviceAnywhere accounts.
