Another computing giant about to throw its hat into the mobile ring?
The Wall Street Journal (via Reuters) says US computer powerhouse Dell could unveil a range of smartphones as early as next month.The news comes hot on the heels of Acer confirming its smartphone foray and builds on reports from last September that Dell was planning a mobile move.
Apparently Dell has been developing its handset offering for the last year, with one design said to incorporate a touchscreen interface.
The latest rumours should perhaps be taken with a pinch of salt, however, with the WSJ adding the caveat that Dell "has not finalised its plans and may still abandon them".
