Dada expands into Canada

D2C firm take its music subscription service, Dada.net, to the Canucks.

Canadian users pay $10 per month for 10 monthly credits, which they can redeem for ringtones or wallpapers.

It's marking the launch with an exclusive Big Boi ringtone called, appropriately enough, 'ringtone'. It's available only to Dada’s Canadian subscribers until March 24.

“Since Dada Entertainment launched in the US in late 2007, it has been our goal to expand to Canada,” said Max Pellegrini, CEO of Dada Entertainment. “I am thrilled to announce that day has come! Music fans now have a new destination for purchasing ringtones and wallpapers in Canada."

To manage the new regional push, Dada appointed Christopher Lam as general manager of Canada. Lam previously held several positions at Rogers Wireless.
