D2see is to power the mobile element of Springdoo’s new mobile-to-web video service called SpringMobile.
The video calling specialist has created the video shortcode 88388, which users of the service can call and then record a film for up to five minutes. After the user has previewed their clip, the video instantly appears within their Springcast broadcaster wherever it is posted on the internet. Users will also be able to email the video and create a SpringBlog video blog for use on social networking sites.Springdoo was unveiled last week having been purchased by Martin Higginson’s CityBlock company. Jeremy Flynn, CEO of D2see, said: “The 3G phone has just become a mobile webcam. D2see has extended the webcam beyond the desktop, and now users can create video content wherever they are inspired. Embedded in Springdoo’s SpringMobile product, users can now create video content and upload it to their chosen UGC internet site”
