US D2C major PlayPhone will add Sony BMG artists to its ringtone, game, voice tone and image catalogue.
This premium content will be distributed across PlayPhone.com and its various distribution channels. PlayPhone currently reaches more than 50m consumers every day via its on service and Wal-Mart Mobile, RealArcade Mobile, Oberon Media, ABC Television, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim and many more.As part of this deal, subscribers can access more than 7,000 pieces of content from Sony BMG artists. "Combining the legendary Sony BMG catalogue of hit artists with PlayPhone and our unprecedented network of distribution partners keeps our promise to consumers of providing the ultimate selection of branded mobile entertainment," said Ron Czerny, CEO at PlayPhone.
