CTIA: DeviceAnywhere signs PlayPhone, Tapatap

Both publishers will use DeviceAnywhere's software to develop and test their mobile games.

Playphone and Tapatap have joined Electronic Arts, Glu and Vivendi Games Mobile in using DeviceAnywhere to test their apps before deployment.

The company's online service provides remote access to 1,500 real handsets on live worldwide mobile networks for development, porting, testing and monitoring purposes.

Accessible device functionality includes key/touchscreen presses, connecting/disconnecting the battery, viewing the LCD, listening to ring tones/speakers and opening/closing a handset.

Faraz Syed, CEO and co-founder of DeviceAnywhere, said: "DeviceAnywhere provides the tools developers need to create higher-quality, rich applications that result in the ultimate end-user experience with content that consumers will embrace and recognize in the marketplace."
