CTIA: AT&T goes with Yahoo on search

AT&T will pre-load Yahoos oneSearch app on its device range.

The Yahoo service will replace the Infospace system that powers AT&T's MEdia Net portal. MEdia Net is the operator’s ‘open’ content storefront, in which users can browse for a large array of downloads created by smaller developers.

oneSearch is Yahoo’s big mobile play. It retrieves search results quicker and makes them more mobile-relevant than previous Yahoo solutions. Obviously, the app will not be loaded on the iPhone, which runs Apple’s Safari web browser.
