If it ain't Apple, it ain't worth a finger swipe.
In a survey of 1,100 potential tablet purchasers by Robert W. Baird, 94.5 per cent cited the iPad as a device of interest.
That compares with 10.3 per cent for Hewlett-Packard's TouchPad and 3.8 per cent for RIM's PlayBook.
It's probably not too surprising. Anyone with an interest in tablets is well-aware of the superior performance of the iPad and its vast market share lead.
But the extent of the bias may raise eyebrows. Last month, for example, UBS estimated a 63 per cent share of the tablet market for Apple this year.
However this is a US-centric study, where devices like the HTC Flyer, Motorola Xoom and Galaxy Tab 10.1 have received patchy support from carriers.
