Games publisher to launch iPhone version of web phenomenon Tumblebugs in August.
The announcement bolsters the casual credentials of Connect2Media, which has already launched Tumblebugs on Java platforms and is to release a PC downloadable version of its mobile hit Go! Go! Rescue Squad!.
Tumblebugs has been a huge web it, with over 35 million downloads or free-plays to date. It has topped download charts on Yahoo!, Big Fish Games, Shockwave, AOL and Oberon and spent four months in Real Arcade’s top ten.
Greg Robinson, Connect2Media's COO, said: “The casual market is one where we feel we can build upon the success we have had on mobile with games and franchises like Go! Go! Rescue Squad! and Timeloop."
In Tumblebugs the player launches vividly coloured bugs at the line of prisoners, when three or more of the same coloured bugs are matched they are saved.
