Comverse to ease operators entry into the apps space, with new Application Store service.
The networks and infrastructure giant says operators are always looking for applications in hot areas like social networking, LBS, video, and messaging, but they typically lack the resources to find and test them. With the Application Store, Comverse can identify, test, certify and install the products on its hosting site, allowing operators to quickly and easily launch the applications. The new revenue-sharing service is part of the Comverse HUB of value-added services that spans voice, messaging, mobile Internet and mobile advertising.
“With the Application Store, Comverse reviews each application, which reduces the risks and unexpected costs associated with implementing new services, while speeding time to market,” said Comverse CMO John Bunyan.
