Coldplay is the latest music artist to benefit from Shazam's 'Golden Tag' promotional service.
Fans in the UK, US and Canada are being presented with a competition to win airfare, hotel and concert tickets to see the band play, if they use Shazam's iOS or Android apps to tag any of the band's songs.
Meanwhile, five runners up will receive prizes including the band's new album Mylo Xyloto. The contest is running for nearly a month until 15 October.
It's also a canny promotion for Shazam's own new features, since to enter, people have to activate its Shazam Friends option, which links their accounts to Facebook and other social networks.
Coldplay are following in the manband footsteps of Take That, which got the Golden Tag treatment last year.
