Chunky Pig launches mobile games publishing service

New Vancouver-based outfit to offer games developers support with social media, planning, acquisition, retention and sustenance.

In these days of app stores, it's easy for developers to get their products distributed. What's harder for them to master is effective marketing at consumers.

This explains why big brands like Gameloft and EA continue to do well in the space, and why expert agencies like Chillingo have risen to prominence.

Now, Chunky Pig is aiming to do the same. It's headed by Nick Malaperiman, who has been in the video games industry for 20 years, working in PR, production and marketing for brands including EA, Nokia and Yummi Media.

He said: "With hundreds of game launches across PC, console, mobile and social under our belt, Chunky Pig has in the US – whether iOS and Android."

Chunky Pig is based in Vancouver, and has a network of partners in London, San Francisco and Helsinki.
