Chinese mobile game developer raises $20m

IDGVC Partners and Infiniti Capital invest in Beijing-based One Net Entertainment.

The company says it will use the funds to make games for both the mobile and PC platforms through its own direct-to-conusmer channels 798uu.com and 798game.com.

ChinaTechNews reports that the $20 million is being fed through One Net's parent company Leo Technology, which itself is a subsidiary of China Techfaith Wireless Communication Technology Limted.

It gets a little more complicated too. IDGVC's half of the investment comes in the form of a convertible note, while Infinity Capital's half comprises common equity.

The next major project from One Net will be a PC-based MMO, due for release later this year.
