iOS game is looking to 'do an Angry Birds'.
UK games publisher Chillingo has announced that its latest iOS title, Cut The Rope, has sold one million copies in ten days since launch.
The company is claiming that the physics-based puzzler is thus the fastest selling title yet on Apple's App Store.
Cut The Rope has topped App Store charts across the world, including the US, since it was launched as a $0.99 game for iPhone and iPod touch, and a $1.99 title for iPad.
"Cut the Rope’s popularity has skyrocketed throughout recent days as fans eagerly share with others how addictive and fun the gameplay is on iOS devices," says Chillingo director Chris Byatte.
The publisher is working with Cut The Rope's developer, ZeptoLab, on forthcoming updates to the game.
Chillingo clearly hopes it will follow the wild success of Angry Birds, which has done well over six million sales on the App Store. That game was developed by Rovio and published by Chillingo.
