FreeAppADay promo drives interest through the roof.

Germany-based dreamfab launched Chasing Yello in June, a survival-centric chase game that runs on iOS.

The former ME App Of The Day dropped its 99c price tag last week and was entered into the FreeAppADay (FAAD) promotional scheme, which has brought in one million downloads in just four days.

FAAD runs online and on iOS, inviting its eight million strong community to vote for the apps they want to see become free before forwarding the results onto the most popular developers.

Chasing Yello is now ranked in the App Store top ten position in the US and 60 other countries, while holding the number one spot in the iPhone and iPad Games Charts in 34 countries.

The app will remain free for a few more days as dreamfab looks to make the most of the interest spike.
