Celltick inks Globe Telecom deal

'Idle screen' specialist enters managed service agreement with Filippino operator.

The new service will be powered by Celltick’s LiveScreen platform, allowing Globe Telecom customers to receive targeted content as well as advertising and operator promotions, direct to the idle screens of their handsets.

Under the new partnership, which went live in November, Celltick’s managed service team will work with the dedicated content specialists at Globe Telecom in order to drive usage of data services among its customers.

Stephen Dunford, CEO of Celltick, said: “Celltick is proud to be working with Globe Telecom on the management of this new service. Mobile users in the Philippines are expected to grow 15 per cent annually to reach 73 million by 2010, which makes the country a very attractive territory for the company.”
