Cellebrite unveils in-store content back-up tablet

Works with over 3,000 phones.

Cellebrite is a specialist in POS systems and is best known for its Universal Memory Exchanger devices.

The Cellebrite Touch is the newest addition to this, with a seven inch touchscreen, wi-fi and Bluetooth.

It allows the transfer of all content including contacts, messages, photos, videos and audio files and also the backing up of content onto a memory stick, remote server or third party application.

Cellebrite beileves the device has the potential to earn extra money for retailers in particular, and can also save time and money because they can flash firmware from it, rather than send a faulty device back o the service centre.

Indeed, its own figures suggest that introducing on-site flashing can reduce returns to vendors by as much as 30 per cent.
