Breakthrough for Buongiorno's one-click carrier billing platform.
Cashlog lets customers pay for online goods and services such as virtual currency, news, eBooks and e-tickets using the mobile number only.
It targets digital merchants selling items for between 0.79 and 15 euros, offering them the chance to offer a 'Cashlog' button. Users click it, type in their number and then confirm the purchase via an SMS.
Yep, it's a 'pay by mobile' solution a little like Boku or Zong.
And now it can handle mobile HTML5 in-app purchases, so there's the opportunity for merchants to offer on-bill payments for apps that sit outside of the traditional OEM stores.
Cashlog supports both single purchases and subscription models for all users accessing a merchant m-site browsing from iOS, Android, BlackBerry or Windows Phone.

Guido Mangiagalli head of Cashlog, said: "“The growth of mobile commerce makes mobile payments the next big thing, replacing cash and credit cards transactions.
"In 2011, some 39% of mobile purchased items were paid directly to mobile phone bills. Cashlog, thanks to its HTML5 upgrade is making this experience almost flawless, and merchants can get higher conversion rates”.
The service is currently available in Italy, Spain and Germany.
