A welcome antidote to the life-sapping desolation of the long-time married.
Wokingham counsellor Paul Cockayne has created an iPhone app, Couple Talk, for those couples you've seen in the pub, who have run out of things to say and just stare at their drinks.
It comprises 500 questions, colour coded to represent levels of intimacy.
Cockayne told The Wokingham Times: “A lot of couples today are saying they have been together a long time but have run out of things to talk about, so I set myself the challenge of writing the app.”
"It can begin with very simple questions like ‘what is your favourite dessert?’
"That doesn’t necessarily lead to a conversation, but behind the question is more questions that will ask things like ‘when did you first eat the dessert?’, ‘what did you remember about it?’ and ‘did your mum cook it?’"
