BuzzCity ad business grows 41 per cent in 2009

Singapore based firm delivers 27.4 billion impressions in 200 countries.

BuzzCity is a real giant in developing markets and Asia Pac. It is a powerhouse in mobile advertising, which it offers in a network of over 2000 publishers including its own extremely successful MyGamma social network.

Its Global Mobile Advertising Index for 2009 reported that mobile advertising grew by 41 per cent in 2009 compared to 2008 with countries such as Turkey, Germany, Saudi Arabia and Mexico seeing growth of 300 per cent or more.

It added that 33 countries now deliver monthly traffic exceeding 10 million impressions.
 
The top five most active countries in Q42009 were:
 
1       Indonesia       2.1 billion impressions
2       India           644 million impressions
3       South Africa    312 million impressions
4       United States   301 million impressions
5       Saudi Arabia    192 million impressions
 
“Q4 showed an accelerated growth with the return of advertisers not just in the newly established mobile markets but also in markets where digital marketing is dominated by fixed line internet pricing (USA, Canada, UK, France and Germany).,” said KF Lai, CEO of BuzzCity.

“New markets such as Mexico are showing real advertiser interest with growth of 294 per cent”.
